Urban Outfitters added CBD infused FITISH Beauty products to its fall lineup. Currently, FITISH Tone Down, Dewing It and Don’t Sweat It are available at UrbanOutfitters.com.

“CBD is all the rage right now, and for good reason,” said Jenna Owens, FITISH Founder and CEO and co-host of The Kidd Kraddick Morning Show. “We’ve seen amazing results from our customers using FITISH Beauty, and we’re incredibly honored Urban Outfitters selected our CBD infused products for their fall lineup.”

Recognizing the contributions of partner organizations, individuals, and thought-leaders, the Salute to Service Awards offer a unique perspective on the mission of Team Rubicon.

Held since 2013 in New York and Dallas, Salute to Service highlights the outstanding support and dedication to the nation’s veterans and their continued service to local communities.

“Over the past nine years, Team Rubicon has grown from a group of eight to more than 100,000 volunteers – launching more than 375 disaster response operations around the world,” said Team Rubicon Co-Founder and CEO Jake Wood. “This growth and our ability to help people on their worst day at this scale would not be possible without the generosity, trust and support of the American public’s hard-earned dollars. We’ve seen prolonged success with the New York Salute to Service Awards, and we’re excited to continue the tradition in Dallas, where our National Operations Center is based, with our third annual event.”

The soiree will feature opportunities to engage with staff and volunteers to showcase how philanthropic support directly affects disaster relief and veteran reintegration.

Stretch Zone, the Practitioner-Assisted Stretching Franchise, Continues North Texas Expansion

Miami Beach born Stretch Zone, the practitioner-assisted stretching franchise, first launched in North Texas with the opening of locations in Plano and Dallas in 2017 and 2018. In early 2019, the Southlake location opened.

The concept continues its growth in the metroplex with an anticipated location opening in Fort Worth later this year.

“Stretch Zone is a concept for people who are constantly on the go,” said Becca Menhart, general manager of Stretch Zone Dallas and Plano.

Personal trainers at Stretch Zone, founded in 2004 by Jorden Gold, use exclusive equipment to stabilize the body for prime, targeted stretching.

The brand encourages people to give their service a try with a “no gimmicks, no catch, first session is free” offer.

At the first visit, personal trainers access range of, create a personalized plan with clients, and take them through a relaxing one-on-one stretch session.

At no point during that session should the guided stretching be painful. The goal is to use stretching to improve circulation, resting muscle tone and flexibility.

“We have clients come in who didn’t feel well enough to even approach a workout,” said Menhart. “Now that they’ve improved their flexibility and balance with Stretch Zone sessions, they are conquering fitness goals they never even imagined. It’s so exciting to share their wellness journey with them and see improvement week after week.”

The stretching concept works with all types of clients with different wellness goals in mind. The age requirement is 14 years of age; so many clients seen are high school athletes.

“Wellness is a huge priority here in DFW and we love that we are the perfect complement to all the amazing fitness opportunities Dallasites are taking advantage of already,” said Menhart. “No matter what workout you do, stretching is imperative and often overlooked.”

Dirk Nowitzki Pro Celebrity Tennis Classic

The beloved Dirk Nowitzki pays homage to his first love – tennis – as he hosts the Fourth Annual Dirk Nowitzki Pro Celebrity Tennis Classic on Sunday, September 15, 2019, from 11am to 3pm at the SMU Tennis Complex (5669 North Central Expressway).

Joining Dirk for the round robin competition are Tommy Haas, 2000 Olympic silver medalist and former World No. 2; Mark Knowles, Grand Slam doubles champ and five-time Olympian; Steve Nash, former NBA All-Star and two-time MVP; and actor Boris Kodjoe known for his roles in the TV series Station 19, Code Black and Soul Food, and the 2000 film Love & Basketball. More players will be announced soon.

Tickets are on sale now for $20 for adults and youth. The event is free for children 3 and under. Parking is available in the Mustang Parking Center (6001 Bush Avenue).
